Most planning systems are designed for people who don’t exist.
People with complete control over their schedules. People who never get sick, never have family emergencies, never feel exhausted for weeks at a time. People whose lives stay predictable.
If that’s not you, those systems will make you feel like you’re failing. Because they’re not built for real life.
So I built something different.
What this space is about
Welcome to Cozy Life Planner, where we plan in seasons instead of years, build habits that actually stick, and create lives we don’t need to escape from.
I’m Kate, and I’m building a cozy, creative life on my terms. I’m working toward location independence and creative work that matters to me. I’m not teaching from the finish line. I’m building the life while I teach the method.
You don’t need my dream. You need your own version. Whatever freedom, beauty, and peace look like for you.
Here’s what I believe
Planning should feel grounding, not stressful.
You don’t need 47 goals. You need one clear focus and a few meaningful goals per season.
Life happens in seasons, and your planning should too. A season is long enough to make real progress and short enough to stay focused without getting overwhelmed.
Structure should bend with your life, not break the first time something unexpected happens.
Real change doesn’t come from one perfect month. It comes from showing up consistently, even when it’s messy.
My approach: seasonal planning
Instead of overwhelming year-long goals, I teach seasonal planning. Every season, you:
Revision – Clarify your vision for your cozy life
Reflect – Assess where you are now
Refocus – Choose one seasonal focus and a few goals
Replan – Build your seasonal rhythm with anchor habits
Rebuild – Take consistent action, adjust as needed
Rise – Review progress, celebrate growth, start fresh
Four seasons per year. Four chances to reset and grow. No waiting until January 1st.
Who this is for
This is for you if you’re tired of New Year’s resolutions that fizzle by March, craving a life that feels intentional instead of reactive, and ready to build something real one season at a time.
This is especially for people in midlife who know what they don’t want anymore and are ready to design what they do want.
